Toyota Gazoo Racing Back In Bahrain
Neutered last race, can they bounce back in Bahrain? Toyota Gazoo Racing returns to Bahrain to bring the curtain down on a highly-successful year with the fourth round of the 2019-2020 FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC). The team returns for the 8 Hours of Bahrain as World Champions and in pole position to retain both drivers’ and teams’ titles, with two wins to their credit so far and five races remaining. Toyota Gazoo Racing leads its standings by 27 points while the #8 TS050 HYBRID crew of Sebastien Buemi, Kazuki Nakajima and Brendon Hartley top the drivers’ championship by just three points from team-mates Mike Conway, Kamui Kobayashi and Jose Maria Lopez in the #7 car.
2019 FIA Prize Giving ceremony held
at the Carrousel du Louvre in the City of Light The 2019 racing season concluded on Friday evening at the Carrousel du Louvre in Paris, France with the annual FIA Prize Giving Gala, where the champions from a number of major international motorsport categories were officially crowned by receiving their FIA trophies. The Mercedes team cleaned with Toto Wolff, Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas all awarded trophies - Toto on behalf of the team, Lewis and Valtteri for finishing first and second, respectively, in this year's Formula One season.

Hamilton dominates Abu Dhabi GP
Verstappen a distance 2nd Lewis Hamilton smoked the entire field to win the Abu Dhabi GP yet again for Mercedes and get his record 84th F1 win. He was so far ahead of the Red Bull of Max Verstappen he could have made an extra pitstop and still won. Charles Leclerc barely finished third for Ferrari but is under investigation by the Stewards for changing the fuel load on the car on the grid. Valtteri Bottas came from last to finish 4th in the 2nd Mercedes while Sebastian Vettel was out to lunch in 5th in the 2nd Ferrari having passed Alex Albon late.

Hamilton wins pole in Abu Dhabi
Bottas 2nd as Mercedes run 1-2 Lewis Hamilton had not won a pole in 9 races but in Abu Dhabi that all came to an end with Hamilton comfortably on pole with a time of 1m34.779s - a new track record - in his Mercedes. His teammate Valtteri Bottas was 2nd quick 0.194s back but he will have to start at the back due to an engine change. That will move 3rd quick Max Verstappen's Red Bull up to the front row for the race. The Ferraris of Charles Leclerc and Sebastian Vettel will fill the 2nd row of the grid after rounding out the top-5 in qualifying.
