Pruett Holds on for Third Victory for Lexus/Toyota

Catching Scott Pruett is one thing. Passing him is another.  Pruett held off a stiff challenge from Ryan Dalziel to win Sunday's Bosch Engineering 250 at Virginia International Raceway by .548 seconds. It was the  third victory in four 2008 Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series presented by Crown Royal Cask No. 16 races for Pruett and Memo Rojas in the No. 01 SAMAX Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates Lexus Riley.
Rojas Puts Lexus On Pole at Mexico City 250

Hometown hero Memo Rojas grabbed the pole by two one-thousandths of a second in Friday's qualifying for the Mexico City 250 to give Lexus its first pole position of the 2008 Rolex Sports Car Series presented by Crown Royal Cask No. 16. Rojas' pole was his first in the No. 01 Telmex Lexus. He and teammate Scott Pruett will look for the team's second Mexico City win from the pole in the last three years on Saturday.
Setzer Takes Hamilton Racing Back To Victory Lane

For the first time since the late Bobby Hamilton won at Mansfield, Ohio, in 2005, Dennis Setzer took Bobby Hamilton Racing back to victory lane. "This win right here is for Bobby Hamilton only -- he is the man!" shouted crew chief Marcus Richmond after Setzer, who had run 173 laps since his final pit stop, crossed the finish line with trucks wrecking in his wake.

Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates continued their dominance of  the Rolex 24 sports car race winning their third straight overall victory on Sunday at Daytona International Speedway with the team of Juan Pablo Montoya, Scott Pruett, Memo Rojas and Dario Franchitti.

As the rain pelted historic Daytona International Speedway 15 hours into the prestigious Rolex 24 At Daytona, AJ Allmendinger piloted his No. 6 Michael Shank Racing Ford / Riley to the front of the pack in the 46th running of the prestigious Rolex 24 At Daytona. Dario Franchitti was 2nd.

Michael Shank Racing used Ford power to sweep the front row Thursday during qualifying for the 46th running of Rolex 24 At Daytona, which starts at 1:30 p.m. ET Saturday, for the Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series presented by Crown Royal Cask No. 16 at Daytona International Speedway.  Oswaldo Negri Jr. drove his No. 60 Michael Shank Racing Ford Riley to a lap time of 1:40.793 (127.151 mph) around the 3.56-mile road course.
O'Connell Leads Final Day of Testing at Daytona

The Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series presented by Crown Royal Cask No. 16 completed a successful January Test Days on Sunday, setting the stage for the 46th running of the Rolex 24 At Daytona Jan. 25-27 with three days of on-track testing at Daytona International Speedway.  Johnny O'Connell topped the Sunday afternoon time charts on the third and final day of the test, circulating the 12-turn, 3.56-mile infield road course in 1:42.396 (125.194 mph) behind the wheel of the No. 91 Riley-Mathews Motorsports Pontiac Riley.

The 2008 international racing season officially got underway today at Daytona International Speedway as 61 Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series presented by Crown Royal Cask No. 16 machines turned the first laps of the season in preparation for the 46th running of the Rolex 24 At Daytona. Today's opening day of the three-day January Test Days saw 15 Daytona Prototypes better the pole time of 1:43.475 set by Alex Gurney one season ago.

Gurney outduels Papis for Rolex win in Mexico

Alex Gurney and Max Papis traded the lead three times over the last 15 laps before a spin by Papis while under pressure from Gurney with two laps to go secured the first Grand-Am Daytona Rolex series win for the No. 99 Gainsco Pontiac of Gurney and Jon Fogarty.
