Corvette Racing at Daytona: Start of a New Era
  This Weekend is a dress-rehearsal for season-opening Rolex 24
Corvette Racing returns to the racetrack for another season of IMSA competition, but this time in a very different guise than past years. This weekend’s Roar Before the 24 marks the first public running of the Chevrolet Corvette C8.R, which Corvette Racing will field for this year’s WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. 
2019 Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup Review

Thanks to a close fight for the championship title, the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup again offered gripping motor racing in its 27th season. Michael Ammermuller had to wait until the final round of the international one-make cup in Mexico City to clinch his third championship title in a row. Toyotas win Bapco 8 Hours of Bahrain
  Run 1-2 in WEC race
Toyota Gazoo Racing’s Kamui Kobayashi, Mike Conway and Jose Maria Lopez led home a 1-2 victory for the Japanese manufacturer at the conclusion of the Bapco 8 Hours of Bahrain. The No.7 Toyota TS050 HYBRID finished a lap ahead of their teammates, Sebastien Buemi, Kazuki Nakajima and Brendon Hartley who were slightly hampered due to contact from another car at the very start of the race.
Rebellion beats Ginetta to WEC Bahrain pole

Rebellion Racing has claimed pole position for the 2019 FIA WEC 8 Hours of Bahrain, its second pole in a row this season after a strong performance from Bruno Senna and Norman Nato. The duo set a 1:42.979 combined time, to go over a tenth clear at the top. In LMP2 it was United Autosports’ day, Phil Hanson and Paul Di Resta taking pole with a 1:45.357 combined time. GTE Pro saw the factory crew finish 1-2 with the #91 Porsche taking pole.

Toyota Gazoo Racing Back In Bahrain
  Neutered last race, can they bounce back in Bahrain?
Toyota Gazoo Racing returns to Bahrain to bring the curtain down on a highly-successful year with the fourth round of the 2019-2020 FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC). The team returns for the 8 Hours of Bahrain as World Champions and in pole position to retain both drivers’ and teams’ titles, with two wins to their credit so far and five races remaining. Toyota Gazoo Racing leads its standings by 27 points while the #8 TS050 HYBRID crew of Sebastien Buemi, Kazuki Nakajima and Brendon Hartley top the drivers’ championship by just three points from team-mates Mike Conway, Kamui Kobayashi and Jose Maria Lopez in the #7 car.
2019 FIA Prize Giving ceremony held

The 2019 racing season concluded on Friday evening at the Carrousel du Louvre in Paris, France with the annual FIA Prize Giving Gala, where the champions from a number of major international motorsport categories were officially crowned by receiving their FIA trophies. The Mercedes team cleaned with Toto Wolff, Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas all awarded trophies - Toto on behalf of the team, Lewis and Valtteri for finishing first and second, respectively, in this year's Formula One season.

We’re just past the halfway point in the offseason which comes on the first weekend of January with the Roar Before the Rolex 24 At Daytona. Teams, drivers and manufacturers get a little break this week for the Thanksgiving holiday and another one next month around Christmas, but other than that, it’s going to be flat out right up until the Roar – and actually all the way up to the start of the Rolex 24 At Daytona on Saturday, Jan. 25. There has been a fair amount of movement in the driver and team ranks with lineup changes announced for 2020. Here’s a quick look and what’s been confirmed so far:

Rebellion defeats both Toyotas in Shanghai
  After WEC neuters the hybrids
Rebellion Racing took its second FIA WEC victory today in the 4 Hours of Shanghai, its first of the season, after its #1 R-13 Gibson of Gustavo Menezes, Norman Nato and Bruno Senna fought through the field after a troubled start to the race, dropped the car from first to sixth overall. The Toyotas were pegged back by the 'Success Neutering' system after winning the last two races and could not match the speed of the Rebellion on the straights.
Rebellion Racing takes first overall pole in Shanghai
  Porsche front both GTE classes
Now that the FIA has neutered the hybrid Toyotas a non-hybrid LMP1 car will start a WEC race from pole position in the 4 Hours of Shanghai World Endurance Championship race Sunday. The best time here in China to score pole for the four hours of Shanghai, was set by Bruno Senna and Gustavo Menezes in the #1 Rebellion. The duo set a 1:45.892 average, after two significantly faster lap times than anyone managed during practice. Not only did Toyota miss out on pole, but it missed out on a front row grid spot too. 
Cadillacs 1-2 at Petit LeMans

It's better to be lucky than good. A late-race brake issue for the No. 5 Cadillac DPi-V.R Filipe Albuquerque handed victory to Whelen Engineering Racing’s Pipo Derani in Saturday’s record-setting Motul Petit Le Mans. Acura Team Penske and drivers Juan Pablo Montoya and Dane Cameron, meanwhile, claimed the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship DPi team and drivers’ titles with a fourth place finish for the No. 6 Acura ARX-05. 
Whelen Cadillac on Pole Petit Le Mans
  Risi Ferrari on GTLM pole
The Whelen Cadillac will start the season ending round of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship Motul Petit Le Mans from pole position for tomorrow's race at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta. Felipe Nasr drove the No. 31 Whelen Engineering Cadillac DPi-V.R to pole position with a time of 1:08.457. The Whelen Cadillac team has been at the top of the time sheet all weekend. The pole is the first for Nasr and the Whelen Cadillac in the DPi era.  Risi Competizione's return to the 22nd annual Petit Le Mans was rewarded with the GTLM pole position.
Chevy unveils mid-engine C8.R this weekend
  At Petit LeMans
Chevrolet begins a new chapter in its storied racing legacy with the introduction of the new mid-engine Corvette race car, known as the C8.R. The C8.R will be Chevrolet’s first mid-engine race car to compete in IMSA’s GTLM class and the first clean sheet race car design since the C5.R debuted in 1999. It will make its racing debut at Rolex 24 at Daytona on Jan. 25, 2020. The C8.R is based on the strong foundation of the 2020 Corvette Stingray.
Petit Le Mans Brings Factory Ford GT Program to End

The story that began with a walk down a bare basement hallway in the Product Design Center at Ford Motor Company will end at this weekend’s Petit Le Mans at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta. The 10-hour IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship race brings a close to the factory-backed Ford Chip Ganassi Racing Ford GT program. Globally, Ford CGR won 19 races with partners Multimatic and Roush Yates Engines. 
Buemi/Hartley/Nakajima dominate in Fuji
  Another Toyota 1-2 in WEC Race
Toyota secured another one-two finish in the Fuji round of the World Endurance Championship, as Sebastien Buemi, Brendon Hartley and Kazuki Nakajima claimed the victory with a 33-second win over the sister #7 Toyota. After taking an easy pole position with the help of the new LMP1 handicap system, the crew of the of the #8 Toyota TS050 Hybrid took was untouchable en route to a first victory as a trio - with former Porsche driver Hartley scoring his first WEC win since the 2017 Austin race.

Toyota Gazoo Racing will start its home race from pole position after taking a clean sweep, despite late drama, in qualifying for the 6 Hours of Fuji, the second round of the 2019-2020 FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) season. Kazuki Nakajima and Brendon Hartley set the pace in the #8 TS050 HYBRID they share with Sebastien Buemi, setting an average time of 1min 25.013secs in front of the team’s home fans.

More than 60 years of racing heritage helped set the stage for the most important debut in Corvette’s racing history last night, as Chevy’s first mid-engine GTLM race car - the Corvette C8.R - made its surprise debut alongside the 2020 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray convertible at the Kennedy Space Center. The C8.R and Corvette Stingray represent a true technology transfer, taking lessons from the street straight to the track and vice versa.
Acura Team Penske dominate at Laguna Seca

Acura Team Penske swept today’s IMSA Monterey Grand Prix, dominating the two-hour, 40-minute contest at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca as Dane Cameron and Juan Pablo Montoya scored their third victory of the season and a 1-2 result for Acura.  The result unofficially clinches the Manufacturers’ Championship for Acura, while Cameron and Montoya neared the drivers’ title.

Ricky Taylor is the new IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship track record holder at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca. He broke the record – set last year by his brother, Jordan Taylor – on Saturday in qualifying for Sunday’s Monterey SportsCar Championship Powered by McLaren. In LMP2 class qualifying, Kyle Masson picked up the third WeatherTech Championship pole position of his career in the No. 38 Performance Tech Motorsports ORECA.  Jesse Krohn put the No. 24 BMW atop the time sheet in GT Le Mans (GTLM) to lead the class heading into Sunday’s race.

Toyota dominates Silverstone with 1-2 finish

Toyota Racing locked out the front row for the opening race of the 2019-2020 FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) season in qualifying for the 4 Hours of Silverstone. On a warm, dry afternoon, Mike Conway and Kamui Kobayashi, who share the #7 TS050 HYBRID with Jose Maria Lopez, earned pole position and the bonus point to take an early lead in the World Championship with an average lap time of 1min 36.015secs.

Porsche Wins Manufacturers' Title With VIR Win
  Mercedes-AMG Team Riley Gives Wynn's First GTD win
With its seventh win of the season, Porsche has secured the 2019 IMSA Weathertech Sportscar Championship GTLM Manufacturers’ title. The German marque did so in dominating fashion with a weekend sweep at Virginia International Raceway that saw a Porsche 911 RSR lead Free Practice 1, 2, and 3, score pole position in Qualifying and claim a 1-2 finish after two-hour and forty minutes of racing.
Aston Martin aims to reclaim WEC GTE Pro and Am titles

Aston Martin Racing is aiming high as it returns to the FIA World Endurance Championship at Silverstone (GB), the competitive home of the luxury sportscar brand, on 31 August, with an optimized version of its Vantage GTE, a strengthened driver line-up and an eye-catching new livery. The car, cased on the critically-acclaimed Aston Martin Vantage road car, will make its class debut in GTE Am with a bold new driver roster of Paul Dalla Lana (CDN), Darren Turner (GB), and Ross Gunn (GB).
Tincknell, Bomarito Deliver Third Straight Win for Mazda
  IMSA at Road America
Mazda Team Joest has claimed its third straight IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship victory in Sunday’s Road Race Showcase at Road America. Harry Tincknell barely kept the No. 55 Mazda RT24-P out front and held on to a 0.227-second win over the pole-sitting No. 6 Team Penske Acura ARX-05 of Dane Cameron. Ford Chip Ganassi Racing swept the top two steps of the podium at Road America, earning their second-consecutive win of the year and third consecutive at the much-loved 4-mile Wisconsin track.

Acura Team Penske swept the front row in qualifying today for Sunday’s Road America Road Race Showcase, with Dane Cameron claiming the pole with a new lap record time of 1:48.715 in his Acura ARX-05 prototype, and teammate Helio Castroneves claiming the outside of the front row with second-fastest qualifying run.
Briscoe and Westbrook Claim Northeast Grand Prix Win
  Pfaff Motorsports wins in GTD
Teammates Ryan Briscoe, an Australian-born Connecticut resident, and Richard Westbrook of Great Britain, in the No. 67 Chip Ganassi Racing Ford GT took the win at the IMSA Northeast Grand Prix at Lime Rock Park on July 20, 2019. The win by the No. 67 was their first victory of the season and an upset for Porsche’s five-race consecutive win streak in the GTLM class. 
Two in a row for Mazda at Mosport

It took nearly seven years for Mazda Team Joest to return to IMSA victory lane between a victory at Road America in Aug. 2012 and last Sunday’s breakthrough IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship win in the Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen. This time, it took just seven days. After finishing second in last weekend’s 1-2 result at Watkins Glen, Tristan Nunez and Oliver Jarvis took the victory in today’s Mobil 1 SportsCar Grand Prix presented by Acura – leading a second straight 1-2 sweep for Mazda Team Joest.

Repeat Pole Position for CORE in Canada
  IMSA at Mosport
For the second-straight year, CORE autosport has earned the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship pole position at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park. After topping both practice sessions on Friday, Colin Braun turned the best lap in Saturday’s 15-minute qualifying session. His time of 1:05.452 was nearly a full second faster than his 2018 pole time and was 0.074-second clear of the second-place qualifier.
Mazda 1-2 at The Glen
Harry Tincknell delivered the #55 Team Joest Mazda RT24-P its maiden win in IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship at The Glen. Tincknell won by a narrow 0.353-second over the team’s sister No. 77 entry, following a late-race bodywork issue for Tincknell’s car that slowed the pace and locked in the finishing order by team orders. Nick Tandy and Patrick Pilet took their No. 911 Porsche 911 RSR to a narrow win over the No. 3 Chevrolet Corvette C7.R of Antonio Garcia in GTLM.

Oliver Jarvis has a knack for wringing every last bit of speed out of the No. 77 Mazda Team Joest RT24-P Daytona Prototype international (DPi) car, especially when there’s a Motul Pole Award on the line. Jarvis broke a 26-year-old track record to take the pole position in qualifying for January’s Rolex 24 At Daytona. In qualifying for last month’s Acura Sports Car Challenge at Mid-Ohio, he broke the previous year’s track record by more than a second.
Alonso's Toyota wins 24 Hours of LeMans after #7 slows
  #51 Ferrari wins in GTE-Pro
Sometimes it's better to be lucky than good. Kazuki Nakajima (teamed with Alonso and Buemi) took the lead of the 2019 Le Mans 24 Hours for the #8 Toyota TS050 HYBRID crew inside the final hour after the leading #7 Toyota slowed with a tire puncture after dominating over 23 of the 24 hours and held them off to win the 24-Hour Classic for the 2nd year running. Ferrari took GTE Pro honors with Alessandro Pier Guidi bringing the #51 AF Corse-run 488 GTE to the flag in first place ahead of Pier Guidi in the #91 Porsche home in 2nd.

World Champions TOYOTA GAZOO Racing will start the 87th Le Mans 24 Hours from pole position after taking the top two grid spots in a close qualifying at the Circuit de la Sarthe on Thursday evening. Kamui Kobayashi, in the #7 TS050 HYBRID he shares with Mike Conway and Jose María Lopez, earned his second-ever Le Mans pole, and TOYOTA’s fifth in total, thanks to a lap of 3min 15.497secs set in the second qualifying session.

In Thursday evening's 2nd qualifying session for the 24 Hours of LeMans, the #7 TS050 HYBRID driven by Kamui Kobayashi remained on provisional pole by taking more than a second and a half off his Wednesday time. Kazuki Nakajima elevated the #8 car he shares with double Formula 1 world champion Fernando Alonso and Sebastien Buemi from fourth to second 0.411 seconds behind the #7. Michael Christensen moved Porsche into provisional GTE-Pro pole.

It was a Chevrolet sponsored race but Acura drivers Dane Cameron and Juan Pablo Montoya have claimed their second consecutive IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship victory for Acura Team Penske in Saturday’s Chevrolet Sports Car Classic in Detroit. The pole-sitting No. 6 Acura ARX-05 led most of the 100-minute street race, slowed by five full-course cautions and multiple accidents on the washboard streets of Belle Isle.

Juan Pablo Montoya outdueled his Acura Team Penske teammate, Helio Castroneves in qualifying today at the Detroit Belle Isle street circuit to head an all-Acura front row for Saturday’s fifth round in the 2019 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. Montoya’s time, eclipsing the previous track qualifying record by nearly three seconds, edged out teammate Helio Castroneves by 0.207 seconds for the front row lockout in GM’s backyard.

Juan Pablo Montoya and Dane Cameron have claimed their first victory with Acura Team Penske in Sunday’s Acura Sports Car Challenge at Mid-Ohio. Montoya took the No. 6 Acura ARX-05 to a 2.022-second win over the No. 77 Team Joest Mazda RT24-P of Tristan Nunez, following a race-long battle between the two DPi cars. Porsche has claimed its third straight IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship win in GT Le Mans, with Earl Bamber and Laurens Vanthoor taking top class honors.
Jarvis takes pole in Mid-Ohio

Oliver Jarvis won the pole position for the Acura Sports Car Challenge at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course Saturday afternoon, beating out Helio Castroneves for the top spot despite slowing on the final lap. Jarvis set the fastest lap of the session in the No. 77 Team Joest Mazda RT24-P, with an elapsed time of 1 minute, 10.705 seconds, narrowly edging out Castroneves in the No. 7 Team Penske Acura ARX-05 by 0.022 seconds.
Alonso/Buemi/Nakajima win at Spa

Fernando Alonso, Sebastien Buemi and Kazuki Nakajima beat the elements today to take their fourth win of the FIA World Endurance Championship Super Season at the TOTAL 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps. The No.8 Toyota Gazoo Racing trio claimed a famous win amid a variety of challenging rain and snow showers to close in on the 2018-19 world championship title. A frantic LMGTE Pro class witnessed a first win of the Super Season for the No.97 Aston Martin of Alex Lynn and Maxime Martin.

Toyota Gazoo Racing locked out the front row of the grid for the next to last round of the 2018-19 FIA World Endurance Championship at Spa-Francorchamps. Mike Conway and Kamui Kobayashi drove the No. 7 Toyota TS050 Hybrid to its third pole with a two-driver average time of 1:53.747 on a wet track. Andy Priaulx and Harry Tincknell drove the #67 Ford Chip Ganassi Racing Ford GT to GTE pole position.

#5 Cadillac driver Filipe Albuquerque held off two Team Penske Acuras to give Mustang Sampling Racing victory in Saturday’s Bubba Burger Sports Car Grand Prix at Long Beach. Albuquerque capitalized on last-lap traffic to take a 0.740-second win over the No. 7 Team Penske Acura ARX-05 of Taylor and pole-sitter Helio Castroneves in second. In GTLM Earl Bamber drove his #912 Porsche 911 to victory and ended Corvette's winning streak at Long Beach.

Helio Castroneves will start Saturday’s Bubba Burger Sports Car Grand Prix from the pole in his Acura Team Penske on the streets of Long Beach. The Brazilian drove his No. 7 Acura ARX-05 to a quick lap of 1:11.332 to edge out countryman Felipe Nasr in the No. 31 Whelen Engineering Racing Cadillac DPi-V.R by 0.218 seconds. Nick Tandy drove his #911 Porsche the GT Le Mans class pole for Saturday’s Bubba Burger Sports Car Grand Prix and sweep of the front row for the German manufacturer.

Felipe Nasr, Pipo Derani and Eric Curran won the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring - leading the majority of the race. Driving the No. 31 Action Express Racing-run Cadillac DPi-V.R, Nasr won a late-race restart duel with six minutes to go to keep his lead despite pressure from Jordan Taylor in the Wayne Taylor Racing Cadillac. Nick Tandy held off the pair of Chip Ganassi Ford GTs to claim victory for the No. 911 Porsche.

Fernando Alonso, Sebastien Buemi and Kazuki Nakajima led the 1000 miles of Sebring from pole to the checkered flag Friday in their #8 Toyota hybrid. They finished almost 2 laps ahead of their sister #7 car and 12-laps ahead of third place. The best battle on track was between the #91 Porsche and the #81 BMW with the Porsche, driven by Gianmaria Bruni passing the BMW in the closing laps to take the win by a car length.

Dane Cameron gave Acura Team Penske pole position for the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring Friday. He posted a best time of 1:45.865 driving the No. 6 Acura ARX-05 that he shares with Juan Pablo Montoya and Simon Pagenaud. Tristan Nunez placed second in the No. 77 Mazda RT24-P which he co-drives with Oliver Jarvis and Timo Bernhard.

The Toyota Gazoo Racing pair notched up their car’s fourth pole of the 2018-19 season with a two-driver average time of 1:40.142 to take pole from the sister No. 7 crew of Jose Maria Lopez and Mike Conway by half a second.

Queensland youngster Matt Campbell has stamped his name into history after guiding Porsche to a memorable victory in today’s Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12 Hour. It was Porsche’s first-ever win in the 12-Hour event, and Campbell’s first victory in six attempts at the endurance race after several near misses in recent years. It was the first Bathurst win Earl Bamber Motorsport (EBM) and they did it in electrifying fashion, with the No. 912 Porsche 911 GT3 R storming to the lead in the closing moments of the Intercontinental GT Challenge season opener.
