Scuderia Ferrari Mission Winnow has used the main social media channels to preview the new Formula 1 car, due to be launched on 15 February in Maranello, by releasing a sound clip of the engine.
After running on the test bench, it was fired up for the first time, actually fitted to the car’s chassis. After the launch, the team will head for the Barcelona circuit and the first pre-season test, which runs from 18 to 21 February.
Luxury sportscar maker Ferrari announced Thursday that it will reveal five new models this year as part as of its new business plan, including a mid-engine hybrid supercar, as it aims to grow full-year revenues by 3 percent.
CEO Louis Camilleri also told analysts that Ferrari would discontinue licensing agreements this year for products that “we do not deem to be in keeping with our brand equity.” (See Full Report)

NASCAR Prohibits Team Owners, Drivers From Gambling On Events

NASCAR has introduced a policy that "prohibits team owners, drivers, crew members and officials from gambling on events," according to Matt Weaver of AUTO WEEK. NASCAR yesterday listed penalties for betting that could include "indefinite suspension or termination and/or a fine of $150,000-$200,000."
The policy was "put together with Sportrader Integrity Services."

NASCAR Drivers gear up for important two-day test in Las Vegas
Four NASCAR Cup Series champions with a combined 10 titles highlight a list of 14 drivers tentatively scheduled to participate in a two-day test session at Las Vegas Motor Speedway Jan. 31-Feb. 1.
Seven-time NASCAR champion Jimmie Johnson, Las Vegas-born titlists Kurt Busch (2004) and Kyle Busch (2015), as well as 2012 champ Brad Keselowski, will be on-hand for the test, which will be open to the public free of charge. Other NASCAR stars expected to participate in the data-gathering sessions include Ryan Newman, 2018 Daytona 500 champion Austin Dillon, Clint Bowyer, David Ragan and Matt DiBenedetto.

Richard Petty's grandson, Thad Moffitt, to make Daytona debut
Thad Moffitt, the 18-year-old grandson of NASCAR Hall of Famer Richard Petty, will make his Daytona International Speedway debut in the ARCA Racing Series season-opening race on February 9.
Moffitt, who has eight previous ARCA starts over the last two seasons, will compete in the Lucas Oil 200 Driven By General Tire. He’ll pilot the No. 46 Performance Plus Motor Oil Chevrolet in a car prepared by Empire Racing Group (ERG).
