Aussie F1 Grand Prix Expected To Generate More Than $35M

Corporate revenue for the Australian F1 Grand Prix could exceed $35M, which would be the race's "best financial result in more than five years." Corporate support and sponsorship is "on the rise" and a crowd of more than 100,000 is expected for Saturday's race in Melbourne.

The Australian Grand Prix Corp.'s income for the race has "markedly increased" since it generated A$38M in '14.

The Fiesta Friday Concert will begin at approximately 6:45 p.m. on the plaza in front of the Long Beach Performing Arts Center adjacent to the Long Beach Convention Center and is free to Friday race ticket holders. Space at the plaza is limited and will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Lora, the most emblematic figure in the Mexican Rock scene, has identified with several generations of fans over his career as he continues to write songs that resonate with audiences. He has produced 50 albums, live and in-studio, and shared the stage with the likes of Chuck Berry, Johnny Winter, The Ramones, The Cult, Sammy Hagar and The Rolling Stones.

Supercars young gun Chaz Mostert has set up a showdown with the on-fire Scott McLaughlin with a golden performance in the opening race of the Beaurepaires Melbourne 400 at the Australian Grand Prix.

McLaughlin won his third straight race to open the 2019 season, but it was a twenty-second to fifth performance by Mostert which caught the eye in the first of four races this weekend.

It was a bitter sweet victory for Christchurch born McLaughlin who was devastated by the news which unfolded in his home country earlier in the day.

Recently, FIA president Jean Todt said he would "love" to see a full grid of 12 teams, and Liberty Media is actively devising a new Concorde Agreement that would allow it.

It follows the recent trend for the big teams in F1 - Ferrari, Mercedes and Red Bull - to link up with smaller competitors that effectively become 'B' teams.
