Horner and wife Geri
Formula One is a competitive environment where even the smallest detail can be the difference between reaching the top step of the podium and missing out on points. It means strong partnerships are important to success, with ExxonMobil playing a key role in Aston Martin Red Bull Racing’s recent form, which includes seven Grands Prix victories in two seasons, as Team Principal Christian Horner explains…
ExxonMobil and Aston Martin Red Bull Racing joined forces ahead of the 2017 Formula One season. How important is a Formula One team’s fuel and lubricants supplier to their success?
They have been extremely important. Ever since we entered into this partnership with ExxonMobil, the level of technical expertise has been clear to see. That’s been particularly evident since changing engine supplier to Honda for this season. Fuel & lubricant development plays such a key role with these hybrid engines and we are seeing great progress being made as the two companies work collaboratively.

By sheer force of luck, Keselowski’s car lined up perfectly in the pit box and he was able to legally complete the pit stop within the regulations NASCAR provided.
Binotto simply cannot design a car that's as fast as the ones designed by Costa
Italy's motorsport media was once again scathing of Ferrari's performance at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, as the Scuderia were powerless to prevent Mercedes securing yet another one-two finish in Baku, with Valtteri Bottas leading Lewis Hamilton home for the Silver Arrows.
The Mattia Binotto designed Ferrari is simply no match for the Aldo Costa designed Mercedes, never was, never will be.
Ferrari once again entered a grand prix weekend hoping to utilize their supposed power advantage over Mercedes, only to see things slip through their fingers.

Once banished from motorsports, some major tobacco companies have quietly re-emerged as sponsors in recent months, promoting smoking alternatives such as vapor products and campaigns that highlight their move away from traditional cigarettes altogether writes Adam Stern of Sports Business Journal.
Companies such as R.J. Reynolds used to be among the biggest financial backers across the world’s most popular forms of racing, capitalizing on a lack of rules for tobacco promotion in those sports. However, federal law eventually forced tobacco companies to stop advertising, largely under terms of the Master Settlement Agreement that was passed in the U.S. in 1998.
But due to the rising popularity of new-age tobacco and vapor products, the decision by some major tobacco companies to launch brand campaigns about their bids to re-invent themselves, and the lack of ad restrictions around e-cigarettes, the category has grown significantly in motorsports over the past year.

Conditions remained unchanged at the Baku City Circuit, with the driver’s determined to avoid a repeat of yesterday’s dramatic Feature Race. Sean Gelael achieved just that at the start, when he squeezed through the middle of the field from third to overtake Correa, before slipping around the inside of the polesitter Nikita Mazepin for the lead. Despite initially loosing P2, Correa managed to follow Gelael past Mazepin, who had made a slow start. Latifi smelt blood too and ducked past the struggling Russian.

Now, in 2019, the young Frenchman is racing alongside Max Verstappen at Red Bull, but the 23-year-old insists it has not been an easy ride to achieve his dream of competing for one of Formula One’s biggest teams.
