Faraday Future Dragon Racing announced today that Swiss driver Neel Jani will join Jerome D’Ambrosio as part of a revised driver line-up for the team’s fourth season in the all-electric FIA Formula E Championship.
Jani joins the Los Angeles-based motorsports team as a seasoned open-wheel and sportscar racer, most recently taking victory at the 2016 Le Mans 24 hours and as World Champion of the FIA World Endurance with Porsche Motorsport. Before joining Porsche’s LMP1 program for the 2014 WEC season, Jani secured a win at the 2013 Petit Le Mans for Rebellion Racing with additional podiums at Laguna Seca and Long Beach that same year.
Jaques Lazier to make Trans Am debut at Road America

Jaques Lazier, best known for his IndyCar Series career, will make his Trans Am Series presented by Pirelli debut this weekend at Road America.
"I'm really excited about this," said Lazier. "Trans Am goes back; there's a history to it. My father (Bob Lazier) actually ran some Trans Am in the late 70's and I came up through SCCA; and while Trans Am is on another level, you always knew what was going on. The Trans Am of today, these are the American thunder cars--the new Camaro, Mustang and Challenger. It's awesome."

Michael Schumacher's son to drive at Spa Michael Schumacher's teenage son will drive one of his father's cars before Sunday's Belgium Grand Prix to mark the 25th anniversary of the seven-time world champion's first Formula One victory.
According to the organizers, Mick Schumacher, 18, who currently races in Formula Three, will drive demonstration laps on the Spa circuit in a Benetton car before the Formula One race.

The St. Louis Speed Festival and Gateway Motorsports Park will host a free INDYCAR Fan Fest on Thursday, August 24 at Ballpark Village in St. Louis from 3-5:45 p.m. CDT. The event will feature autograph sessions with Verizon IndyCar Series, Indy Lights and Pro Mazda drivers, show cars, INDYCAR simulators, ticket giveaways, a live radio broadcast and entertainment. Ballpark Village is located at 601 Clark Avenue in downtown St. Louis, across the street from Busch Stadium.
