Keselowski gets penalized on restart (Update) UPDATE
'Bad Brad' Keselowski
Brad Keselowski won't face punishment for labeling NASCAR "an entertainment sport and not a fair sport" after being black-flagged for a restart at New Hampshire. NASCAR senior vice president and chief racing development officer Steve O'Donnell said the sanctioning body would try to talk Monday with Keselowski about its call but wouldn't penalize the Team Penske driver. "That's frustration," O'Donnell said during his weekly appearance on SiriusXM NASCAR's "The Morning Drive" program.

"I get that. There's a lot on the line. I don't think you'll see us do anything. I certainly disagree with the way Brad positioned it. It's a tough call. We'll talk to Brad today. I'm sure he still won't agree, but it's something we've got to do. It's open dialogue. We'll explain why we made the call from our standpoint and go on to Dover." NASCAR has fined drivers such as Denny Hamlin and Ryan Newman (once secretly until changing its policy three years ago) for making disparaging comments.

'Dieselgate' Sweeps Through Germany
When it comes to the stock market and public perception, suspicion is often enough to tarnish a company's image and dent its market value, wrong as it may be. BMW is experiencing that firsthand as it feels the burn of the Volkswagen "Dieselgate" scandal from its own corner of the German auto industry.

Following a September 24 Auto Bild report, which stated a BMW X3 diesel SUV performed poorly in road tests, company stock took an immediate hit in trading the same day on German exchanges. With Volkswagen stock down over 30% since the scandal broke, there is no telling what could happen to BMW in the coming weeks, despite the automaker's insistence it did no wrong.

Formula E teams limited to two drivers per car
Look for a more consistent field of drivers this season in Formula E.
Recall this report from the DC Global Rallycross weekend in August, when AR1 told you that a limit on driver changes was coming to Formula E for the 2015-2016 season.

The 10 Formula E teams will be limited to just two driver changes per car during season two.

Last season 30 drivers took part in the all-electric racing series, with some teams changing drivers multiple times. This season they will be limited to just two changes, and no changes will be permitted during the final three races of the season to avoid any potential conflict in the fight for the championship.

Red Bull Team Principal Christian Horner Says Owner 'Disillusioned' With Formula 1
Dietrich Mateschitz tells Bernie Ecclestone he's ready to pull the plug on F1
Red Bull Team Principal Christian Horner said Friday that Owner Dietrich Mateschitz has become "disillusioned" with F1, but insisted that "he was fighting to prevent the team from leaving the sport," according to the AFP.

The Austrian energy drinks giant "threatened to quit F1 if it cannot secure guarantees of a competitive engine next year after its impending split from Renault, with Ferrari considered the best, and perhaps, only option."

Horner "pulled no punches about Red Bull's possible exit." He said, "Dietrich Mateschitz doesn't talk very often, but when he does, you have to sit up and take notice. He is disillusioned with F1 at the moment and has been consistent in that statement. It is my job to try to find a solution."

Toyota NSCS New Hampshire Post-Race Notes & Quotes

Matt Kenseth
MATT KENSETH,
No. 20 Dollar General Toyota Camry, Joe Gibbs Racing

Finishing Position: 1st

Were you surprised to get this victory?

“We had to be there to win. These Dollar General guys did a great job today. We didn’t pit that one time and I was like, ‘Ahhh,’ and Jason (Ratcliff, crew chief) was like, ‘It’s fine, relax.’ We made it to the front faster than we thought. I was giving it everything I’ve got and I thought he (Kevin Harvick) was going to beat us and he had a better car today, but I guess he was a little short on fuel. This is unbelievable. This feels unbelievable. Thanks to everybody – thanks to Dollar General, DeWalt, Toyota, TRD (Toyota Racing Development) – I say it all the time, but we’ve got great partners. I really appreciate these guys a lot and thank the Lord for putting me here. This has been so much fun.”

Maiden DTM victory for Audi's Miguel Molina
From left, di Resta, Molina and Spengler

Fans at the Nurburgring, where 69,000 spectators attended the event over the weekend, were treated to exceptionally good touring car racing: with entertaining position fights and closely-fought door-to-door duels, there were entertaining battles for the best positions and valuable points for the drivers' standings in the 16th DTM race of the season.

Miguel Molina only had little to do with all that: with a faultless drive, the Audi driver had his name written on the winners' list at the Nurburgring and also scored his first major achievement in his 67th DTM race. Having started from pole position, the Spaniard scored a dominant and undisputed win in the 43 laps long DTM race on Sunday.

Dennis unhappy with Alonso comments
Alonso calls Honda's F1 engine as slow as a GP2 car, which makes Honda look inferior and tanks car sales. Audi would be nuts to enter into such a ludicrous race engine formula.
McLaren chairman Ron Dennis says he is not impressed with the way that Fernando Alonso called Honda's engine performance as 'embarrassing and comparable to a GP2 engine' in the Japanese Grand Prix.

"I am getting passed down the straight like a GP2," said Alonso. "This is embarrassing, very embarrassing."

"I don't know," said the two-time champion. "There are still five races to go now. We need to improve the situation to make sure we are competitive and we are on top of our problems.

"There are a few areas we need to improve and the main priority now is to work on those.

"I think in Abu Dhabi we will not improve. The remaining races will be tough, but the next year is probably what we are looking for and my intention is to stay and win together."

(GMM)  Sebastian Vettel is "better in some ways" even than F1's most successful driver of all time.

That is the claim of Ferrari team boss Maurizio Arrivabene, who contrasted Germans Vettel and Schumacher - the long-time Ferrari driver and F1 legend - in the pages of the Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera.

"Many said that Seb only wins because he has the best car and at times I thought so too," Arrivabene said.

"Now that I work with him, I can say that, in some respects, he is even better than Michael.

Marquez stamps authority on practice 3 at Aragon
Marquez

Repsol Honda's Marc Marquez set the fastest time of the weekend so far at MotorLand Aragon to top FP3. The Spaniard managed a 1.47.380 that he set on just his fifth lap. Despite setting it so early, it was good enough to top the timesheets despite the usual frantic end to the session as riders attempted to secure their progress through to Q2. His time was just two-tenths of his Pole Record from last year in a session where the top seven riders were separated by almost a second. The Spaniard was utilizing a new swingarm his team debuted yesterday and it seemed to pay dividends.
