Michael Shank Racing will run Jack Harvey in six Verizon IndyCar races in 2018.

TOKYO, Japan – Preparing for the start of a new partnership with Scuderia Toro Rosso (Toro Rosso) in the FIA* Formula One World Championship (F1), Honda will make changes to its F1 project team structure.
Under the new structure, an Operating Officer in charge of HRD Sakura will oversee research and development and the overall operation of races and testing.
In the meantime, Honda created a new position, F1 Technical Director, who will concentrate on directing the team at the spot of racing and testing.
Toyoharu Tanabe will assume the responsibility as the first F1 Technical Director, and the position of Head of Formula 1 Project will be eliminated.

The Verizon IndyCar Series is removing more items from its list of spec Dallara DW12 parts.
Leading into the 2017 season, IndyCar competition president Jay Frye and his team launched an initiative to convert some spec DW12 components to free and open for teams to produce on their own or through preferred vendors, and with testing set to begin in just over a month, more items have been identified.
"It's ongoing, and like what we did at the end of 2016 when we sent a survey to all teams to see what kind of parts they'd like to build on their own or have deregulated, we've done this again going into 2018," Frye told RACER. "They came back with a lot of good ideas, so we are evaluating the list and have already gone ahead with some items."

The new agreement, which will take effect starting with the April 13-15, 2018 Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach, sustains a relationship between the City and the Grand Prix Association which has spanned the last 43 years.
