Video: Danica throws Anchorman 2 holiday party for team Ladies and gentlemen, can I please have your attention.
I've just been handed an urgent and horrifying news story. I need all of you to stop what you're doing and read this.
Pit crew, assemble!
There hasn't been confirmation yet if Danica Patrick used a conch shell to call her pit crew into action or not, but even if she did, they've done studies, you know. Sixty percent of the time, it works every time.
We at NASCAR.com have been in a glass case of emotion all week in anticipation of 'Anchorman 2', the sequel to 2004's 'Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy', but by the beard of Zeus, it appears nobody is as excited about this as Patrick.
There probably couldn’t be two more different companies than Dow and General Mills. One produces chemicals and other products that aren’t meant to be ingested. The other manufactures food.
They will have their sponsorship of Austin Dillon in common starting in 2014. And they actually already had something in common.
“Guess what Cheerios packaging is made out of?” Dow executive vice president Joe Harlan said. “Our product.”
That’s why this sponsorship makes sense to Dow. It hopes to use NASCAR to cultivate more business from companies involved in NASCAR. General Mills hopes it sells a lot of Cheerios, the brand that will be on Dillon’s car.

No one person can replace the genius of Bernie Ecclestone
No one individual can replace Bernie Ecclestone at the helm of Formula 1, and teams must start planning for a very different future after the 83-year-old eventually leaves the stage, Ferrari president Luca di Montezemolo has said.
The Italian, who has been in the sport since the mid-1970s, wants to invite Team Principals to a meeting at Ferrari’s Maranello factory in January to discuss where F1 is heading and what should be done.
“We are arriving a little bit at the end of a very, very important cycle and era of Formula 1,” the 66-year-old told reporters over a Christmas lunch at Ferrari’s Fiorano test track where the team’s late founder Enzo spent much of his time.

Montezemolo tells fans to speak up over 'double points'
Luca di Montezemolo
(GMM) Luca di Montezemolo has urged F1 fans to make their voices clear, as he admitted he is no fan of the new 'double points' rule.

So given Montezemolo's power, an abolishment of the highly controversial rule, panned and slammed by the sport's pundits and fans, cannot be ruled out.

He is nicknamed "The Ax" because he has a knack of closing up and "chopping" off seconds behind the leader quickly in a race to set himself up to make a clean pass for the win.
Since his early childhood he dreamed about speed.
Now in 2013 he decided to do a step more to be much faster and feel more the g-forces than ever: he strapped himself on an ejection seat in a Russian MIG-29 "Fulcrum" at Sokol Airbase in Niszhny Novgorod and made a very special "high g-force aerobatic" flight with test pilot Andrew Pechionkin who took him nearby to a "black out" of a g-load of 8.2 G!

Video: Juan Pablo Montoya's IndyCar fan question No. 1 The RACER Channel speaks with Team Penske IndyCar driver Juan Pablo Montoya for his fan-driven Q&A session, starting with Coltan Wyant, who asks: What experiences can you take from your NASCAR career going into your future with IndyCar that you didn't have during your CART career? And how much have you had to adjust your open wheel driving style from CART to Formula 1 and to the current DW12 IndyCar?
It is with a heavy heart that we tell you of the passing of Stuart Hilborn. Stuart was 96 when he left us earlier this morning. Stuart’s passion for racing and speed led him to invent the constant flow mechanical fuel injector.
Shunned by his peers, he refined the design to be the first to propel a race car over the magical 150mph mark at the dry lakes. Hilborn fuel injectors went ...on to dominate the Indianapolis 500 and then any racing venue that required maximum speed with an internal combustion engine.
Stuart is survived by his wife Ginny of 60 years, along with his daughter Edris and his son Duane, 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Stuart’s wit, charisma and passion will be truly missed and arrangements will be passed along. Thank you.
Which F1 team will benefit from Ross Brawn’s golden touch?
Ferrari needs Brawn back
You could almost hear disheartened Ferrari fans’ prolonged sighs after Ross Brawn announced that he’d be taking a six-month break from Formula One.
Rumors of 59-year-old Brawn’s return to Ferrari gained momentum after his long-anticipated departure from the principal post at Mercedes was made official late last month. The chatter on social media and comment sections on news stories had Scuderia supporters immediately dreaming of a return to the glory days where scarlet cars won races at will and scored dominant world championships.
It was not to be – yet – but you can bet that most Ferrari supporters want Brawn to once again guide the sport’s iconic team. In his brilliant technical director hands, Brawn played a key role in Michael Schumacher’s success and the six constructor’s titles and five driver’s crowns in 10 seasons with the Maranello-based team. Along the way, Ferrari took 84 victories and 175 podiums in 171 races during the Brawn-Schumacher years between 1997 and 2006.
