US RaceTronics team makes changes for 2007 As US RaceTronics (USRT) prepares for the upcoming 2007 Cooper Tires Presents The Champ Car Atlantic Championship Powered by Mazda, several pieces of the puzzle have already fallen into place nicely. To date USRT has put together a new and experienced engineering staff led by veterans Peter Jacobs and Walter Preston, signed two fiercely talented drivers in David Garza and Carl Skerlong, and added new sponsors. The team is now pleased to announce that it has launched not only a new and exciting team website, but a website for David Garza as well.
Partnering up with the creative design team at Manifest, a strategic marketing and creative services agency specializing in motorsports marketing, USRT was able to create a team website that sports a technologically creative and exciting design while maintaining a user friendly structure. While the website still features such team website fundamentals as News, Results, About Us, Series Information, and Photo pages, the website also features a Video page, where various videos of the team will be stored and played for visitors. The website will also have a new interactive Fan Program, of which details will be announced shortly.
“We really wanted to create a website for our fans that is very professional, fan friendly, and technically advanced. All are qualities we at US RaceTronics hope to transpire as a team on and off the racetrack”, stated Team Owner Shane Seneviratne. The website maintains the traditional blue and white USRT color scheme and incorporates a Flash intro on the Home page that highlights the past 2 seasons with USRT driver David Martinez. The Flash also reveals the exciting new liveries both USRT cars will sport during the 2007 season.
In addition to developing USRT’s website, Manifest also developed the website for USRT driver David Garza. Garza’s website also features Flash and sports a sleek aesthetic design and incorporates a lot of what made the USRT website vision. The website will also feature a blog component that Garza will be updating as the 2007 Champ Car Atlantic season progresses. “I think the website is great and will hopefully allow my fans, fans of the Champ Car Atlantic series, and potential sponsors to get to know me better. I hope people visit it very often and find what they’re looking for”, states Garza.
The website management process has been dramatically improved. News items, photos, and other changes are easily handled through the content management tools provided by Manifest. “The tools provided to us will allow us to keep the website up to date on a moment’s notice and in the world of racing that is important. Getting the news out to our fans is critical”, comments Seneviratne.
