Tom Sutherland (17) enjoyed a successful four race program with Jensen MotorSport in the 2006 Formula BMW USA championship. Tom qualified second and finished a career-best second place in his home race at San Jose California; and now has the record for the most Formula BMW USA starts and finishes at 32. Over the course of his Formula BMW career, Tom has racked up 19 top-10 finishes and three top-five finishes.
ClickAway Computers & Networking is the primary car sponsor for Sutherland's Atlantic entry. With retail stores throughout the San Jose California area, ClickAway is a one stop solution for computer service and repair, sales, networking and IT solutions.
Jensen MotorSport team owner Eric Jensen states, "Tom is a terrific addition to our team. It is very rewarding to have both of our drivers from the 2006 Formula BMW USA program (including fellow Atlantic rookie Frankie Muniz) graduate to our Champ Car Atlantic team. This is exactly the reason why we have been running cars in that series over the past few seasons."
Tom Sutherland states, "I am so excited to have this chance to do the Champ Car Atlantic championship, I had a great experience with Jensen MotorSport in 2006, and I get along well with my teammate Frankie Muniz. The Atlantic car is very fun to drive, and with some hard work we should be able to challenge for top-fives throughout the season."
