Legge frustrated by uncertainty What team the 26-year-old Katherine Legge form Guilford, England will be driving for remains uncertain. Last year, her rookie campaign in Champ Cars, she piloted a red and white machine for PKV Racing, owned partially by her sponsors, Kevin Kalkhoven, who is also a series co-owner.
When the 2007 season opens April 8 at Las Vegas, Legge could find herself driving for Dale Coyne Racing, for whom she drove during a testing session earlier this month in Sebring. Or she could be back with PKV.
"It's kind of frustrating for me," she said.
While she is still sponsored by Kalkhoven and expects to be placed with a team before the season opener, Legge feels the series should have more drivers confirmed in cars in order to give fans a better idea of who'll be with which team.
"The fans are our business," she said.
Legge said she expects a flurry of driver announcements at the series' so-called spring training session at Laguna Seca Raceway in California, March 7-10 or shortly thereafter. More at Toronto Star
