The top four drivers were covered by just 0.3 seconds in an incredibly close final session of the first GP2 series test of 2007, with ART Grand Prix and iSport International dominating proceedings.

Perhaps dominating is too strong a word however, for while the top four positions were locked out by the current champions and the team many expect to be their closest rivals in 2007, the top 20 drivers were covered by just one second at the close of play today. This figure is an incredible feat when one considers that it was only yesterday that the field of 2007 got their hands on their new cars to test them for real for the first time.  

With expectation already high for the forthcoming season, these kind of close test times will only serve to lift spirits yet higher.
