XM Satellite Radio adds IndyCar programming XM Satellite Radio has upgraded its coverage of the IndyCar Series, kicking off with the season-opening race March 24 at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
The nation's leading satellite radio service enters its third year as the official satellite radio network of the IndyCar Series with broadcast of the race live on the IndyCar Series Channel (XM 145) and simulcast on XM Sports Nation (144).
A special edition of "Powershift" with Joe Castello will air from the track from 6-7 p.m. (EDT) on Channel 144 on March 24, featuring interviews with drivers Danica Patrick, Tony Kanaan, Dan Wheldon and Scott Dixon. The IMS Radio Network pre-race show follows on both channels before coverage of the XM Satellite Radio Indy 300.
New for 2007 is complete coverage of IndyCar Series qualifying. The session from Homestead-Miami Speedway begins at 8:30 p.m. (EDT) March 23.
XM Sports Nation also will host the weekly "Andretti Green Racing Hour," a one-hour show featuring Andretti Green Racing drivers as well as team co-owner Michael Andretti, beginning March 23 at 7 p.m. (EDT).
