Kubica will bounce back - Sauber  (GMM)  Robert Kubica will bounce back from his difficult start to the 2007 season. That is the belief of the BMW-Sauber team's founder, former principal and current consultant Peter Sauber, who said the rookie Pole is tough enough to cope with the situation.

The Swiss said Kubica is struggling at the moment with the handling of the F1.07 car, which in the hands of teammate Nick Heidfeld has established Hinwil-based BMW-Sauber as the third quickest outfit on the 2007 grid.

"Robert is not going to give up," Sauber told the Swiss newspaper 'Blick'.  "He is mentally much too strong for that.

"During the course of his career he has learned the heights and the depths of motor sport -- he knows how to deal with it."

Sauber also praised German Heidfeld, who has emerged as one of the outstanding performers so far this year.

His acclaim is despite the fact that the 29-year-old racer was dumped by the team at the end of 2003, and only returned on the initiative of BMW's Mario Theissen, who succeeded Peter Sauber as team principal at the end of 2005.

Heidfeld is presently campaigning to stay at BMW-Sauber beyond 2007.

"This is the best Nick Heidfeld that I have ever seen," Peter Sauber enthused.

He added: "His technical knowledge was always very good, and he never made many mistakes.  But now he seems to have combined it with the necessary aggressiveness, which is making the difference."
