The 19-year-old has only driven one race meeting so far in A1GP, recording a 10th –place finish at the inaugural A1GP meeting in September 2005, also at Brands Hatch.

“I really like the track but it’s kind of hard because it is so narrow,” Charouz told A1GP.com having received news of his recall.

“I’m really looking forward to it - last year was my first race and I didn’t think that it was so bad so I’m hoping for the top ten this weekend.

“I’ve had some races there in F3000 and on the full GP circuit and I like the corners – I go very fast in some of the quick corners.”

Charouz also took part in the rookie and developing nations session at Zandvoort earlier in the season.
