Zuber dominates Paul Ricard testing Andreas Zuber has set an incredible precedent at the 2007 mid-season test by setting the fastest lap in every session contested. the iSport International driver was the only man to dip into the 1:17s Wednesday afternoon, to sit pretty at the top of the time sheets with a 1:17.826.
He was followed in the final times by Javier Villa who continues to shine at Circuit Paul Ricard. The Spaniard outperformed Lucas di Grassi as ART Grand Prix finally seemed to find their feet at the test, with Nicolas Lapierre fourth and Bruno Senna an impressive fifth for Arden International at this, their usual bogey track.
Pastor Maldonado continued to show the potential of the Trident package with sixth, as Mike Conway put in a stellar effort for seventh after a huge shunt yesterday morning. Ernesto Viso almost completed the perfect return to the GP2 Series. As the session ended he pipped Andi's top time. On inspection by the Track Manager however, it was found that the Venezuelan had gained an unfair advantage by using the run-off area at Turn 1 and he subsequently lost his three best laps of the session, leaving him in eighth place.
Roldan Rodriguez was again in the top ten for Minardi Piquet Sports in ninth, while Michael Ammermuller set the tenth fastest lap on his return from injury. One of his race replacements, Sebastien Buemi, made a surprise showing in the #8 Arden International car. The Swiss could not keep up with Bruno Senna however, and finished with the slowest time of the afternoon.
