Pocono Raceway to Enter New Era in Ticketing
The Pocono Raceway, the two-and-a-half-mile super speedway in Long Pond, PA, has selected New Era Tickets, the full-service ticketing subsidiary of Comcast-Spectacor, as their full-service ticketing system and marketing partner for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and the ARCA RE/MAX Series events.

Powered by New Era Tickets, ComcastTIX also provides full service ticketing for numerous public assembly facilities and events throughout the Greater Philadelphia Region, including the Wachovia Center and Wachovia Spectrum. In addition, New Era Tickets’ marketing services will assist the Pocono Raceway team with dedicated high-level attention to fostering long-term customers and generating new fans.

“By selling our tickets through ComcastTIX, we’re able to capitalize on some of the web traffic of other browsers looking for shows at the Wachovia Center, as well as create new synergistic opportunities with these venues,” said Brandon Igdalsky, President of Pocono Raceway. “We are proud to welcome New Era Tickets and ComcastTIX to the raceway family here at Pocono Raceway, the Tricky Triangle.”

“As we continue to grow New Era Tickets nationally and more importantly ComcastTIX in the Greater Philadelphia Region, it’s important for us to add new clients such as the Pocono Raceway,” added New Era Tickets President Fred Maglione. “We continuously want to offer our customers top-notch entertainment and attractions and the Pocono Raceway is something our customers have been requesting access to.”

The Pocono Raceway has long been recognized as one of NASCAR’s most competitive raceways. The Raceway’s unique two-and-a-half-mile track features three turns, each with its own degree of banking. The Pocono Raceway will host two NASCAR Sprint Series races – the Pocono 500 on Sunday, June 8, 2008, and the Pennsylvania 500 on Sunday, August 3, 2008.

New Era Tickets will provide the Pocono Raceway with access management technology, including wireless scanners so the Raceway can now begin to track attendance and customer patterns.  The Pocono Raceway will utilize this new customer data to create new and exciting opportunities for its customers.

New Era Tickets specializes in providing innovative technological solutions for box office management, event management and customer communications as well as offering a full-service ticket and marketing product for public assembly facilities, show promoters, sports teams, theaters and entertainment organizations. Throughout the year, New Era Tickets will sell over 8.5 million tickets in 18 venues throughout the United States and Canada.
