Sebring and Lime Rock Park Added SCCA Pro Racing has announced the addition of two illustrious road courses, Sebring International Raceway and Lime Rock Park, to the 2008 SCCA SPEED World Challenge schedule.
For the eighth year in-a-row, the SCCA SPEED World Challenge Championships will start the season in Sebring, Fla., March 12 – 14, during the American Le Mans Series’ prestigious 12 Hours of Sebring event.
A Touring Car doubleheader at Lime Rock Park has also been added May 24 – 26, accompanying the Grand-Am GT Classic. Nestled in the Berkshire Hills of Lakeville, Conn., Lime Rock Park embraces all that is good in automotive racing with an ultra-quick course, dedicated New England fans and a gorgeous scenic setting. Coming off its 50th Anniversary year, Lime Rock Park is the perfect spot for the schedule’s only doubleheader.
“The fact that RACER Magazine wrote, ‘most competitive road racing in the world,’ when describing SPEED World Challenge makes it easy for me to add this Series to our schedule. Having an entertaining show for our fans at Lime Rock Park is paramount and this series will ensure a much anticipated event.” Lime Rock Park CEO Georgia Blades said.
Additional dates will be added to the 2008 SCCA SPEED World Challenge schedule shortly. For more information visit www.world-challenge.com
