ChaCha named as official mobile answers service of IMS
The Indianapolis Motor Speedway has selected ChaCha as its Official Mobile Answers Service, as the revolutionary new 1-800-2ChaCha allows cell phone users to easily access information using conversational English while on the go - perfect for fans who want to enhance their racing experience and visit to Indianapolis.

Throughout the month of May, selected IMS Safety Patrol officials and Guest Services staff will introduce race fans to ChaCha, showing them how to use the service on their cell phones for instant access to information on the race, Indianapolis attractions, drivers and more, as an extension of the customer service provided to IMS fans. In partnership with track officials, ChaCha will allow race fans to have insider access to all the action as it happens.

"With ChaCha, over 350,000 Indy 500 race fans will be able to tap into a network of insiders and experts for virtually any question they have," says Scott A. Jones, co-founder and CEO of Indianapolis-based ChaCha. "Locals, out-of-town guests and even the biggest racing history buffs can discover new information - from who had the fastest qualifying lap in history to the best place to grab a burger after the race - and they will receive an accurate text message answer from a human guide within minutes."

Serving as the Official Mobile Answers Service of the Indy 500, ChaCha has also launched an alerts program, for which spectators can sign up at indy500.chacha.com to receive free text message "alerts" on local happenings on their cell phones. Both attendees and non-attendees alike will be the first to know about events at the track via the "Indy 500 PitPass Alert." With the "Stats Alert", ChaCha users can daily recaps and speeds from the Speedway on practice and qualifying days and Race Day, along with daily recaps and times. Spectators can also play along with IMS Historian Donald Davidson as he asks obscure trivia questions on Indy 500 race lore with the "Trivia Alert" during the event.

Individuals unable to attend the race can take advantage of a free daily Indy 500 text message containing a recap of the day's highlights and major news stories. Members of the press and bloggers are also invited to register for the service to help them with their reporting.

"ChaCha is an incredibly innovative service, and we're happy to partner with this Indianapolis-based company" said Joie Chitwood, IMS president and COO. "ChaCha's vast community of guides can provide entertaining and practical assistance at the track and across the country, enhancing the fan experience at the Indy 500."
