It's a warm and humid afternoon at Pocono Raceway and Happy Hour has concluded with Carl Edwards posting the fastest time at 164.769 mph. Pole Sitter Kasey Kahne was second fastest and Elliot Sadler was third quick in his Stanley Dodge.
Kyle Busch crashed hard in the morning practice session and will have to start the race with a backup car. Kurt Busch, Clint Bowyer, and Sam Hornish all spun in practice with Hornish tearing up his ride and also resolved to running a backup car for tomorrow's race.
Hornish qualified 41st based on owners points and will start 42nd with the backup car.
"We weren't good in practice all day. We were trying a lot of different things on our Mobil One Dodge to make it better" said Hornish. "I just got loose going into turn 1 and lost it. We tore the front end up a bit and will go to the backup car for tomorrow."
