40 Kids Shop with Colts Players, Marco Andretti On Wednesday, December 3, the Colts and Meijer will join with Andretti Green Racing to host 40 local kids from Concord Neighborhood Center at the Southport Road Meijer store. The kids will receive a special pizza party, compliments of Papa John's Pizza and Coca-Cola, as well as a special holiday shopping experience, compliments of Meijer.
Following the pizza party, four Colts players and IndyCar Series Driver Marco Andretti will assist the youngsters select new clothes, shoes, toys and any other items on their holiday wish list. Each child will be provided with a $200 Meijer gift card, compliments of Meijer, to purchase their items, as well as an additional $20 to select a toy to donate to another child in need through the Toys for Tots program.
This is the first time the Colts, Meijer and Marco Andretti have teamed up for this holiday shopping event. Meijer is the Official Supercenter of the Indianapolis Colts and has supported several Colts outreach projects this year, including the SACKing Hunger Food Drive, Thanksgiving Shopping Trip and Thanksgiving Basket Delivery program.
The Concord Neighborhood Center offers south-side Indianapolis families and individuals of all ages a one-stop source for social services, children's programs, educational opportunities, recreational activities and cooperative programs with other agencies.
