Break for St. Pete Ticket buyers In what is sure to be some of the best news you've heard in awhile, ticket prices for the fifth Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg from April 3-5 -- the opening race weekend of the IndyCar Series and Firestone Indy Lights season -- have not changed from last year.
General admission tickets start at $25 for adults/$10 for children 12 and under. The Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg also is offering a free IndyCar Series paddock pass to groups purchasing 10 or more three-day reserved tickets. Group purchases are only available through the HGPSP box office in downtown St. Pete.
For spectators, each day is filled with on-track action, concerts, air shows, autograph sessions with drivers and other forms of entertainment that make the price of admission a bargain.
Tickets can be purchased by calling the Honda Grand Prix box office at (727) 898-INDY (extension 225), by visiting the event's Web site at www.gpstpete.com or through Ticketmaster.
Additionally, though construction continues on the Salvador Dali Museum next to the Mahaffey Theater inside the racing circuit, there are no planned changes to the 1.8-mile, 14-turn temporary street course. Post-race ceremonies and concerts again will be held on the Honda Plaza, adjacent to the Mahaffey Theater complex and the Bright House Networks Speed Zone will be in action near Progress Energy Park.
