HP teams up with Renault After the news that ING will be slashing finances to Formula One, the Renault F1 Team has announced a new technical partnership with Hewlett-Packard.
"We are very pleased to have HP reinforce our portfolio of technical partners," commented Managing Director Flavio Briatore. "The importance of IT in Formula 1 is well known and we strive to ensure our needs in this area are covered by the most prestigious and reliable companies in the world."
Head of IS-IT for the ING Renault F1 Team, Guillaume Jacquemin, added that…
"Reliability and performance of our IT systems is mission critical in all aspects of Grand Prix racing from design, R&D and manufacturing to the performance of our race car itself. The signature of this partnership with Hewlett-Packard is therefore an important step to help us maintain the top level of competitiveness."
HP equipment supplied as part of this agreement will range from PCs, printers and workstations to Windows and Linux servers for both the Team's Technical Centre and the Race Team.
