Testing with a Difference
Palm Beach international Raceway today announced their 2009 "Testing with a Difference," program, which provides qualified drivers with an opportunity to take the seat in a sponsored Team PBIR Firestone Indy Lights race car.  The program offers drivers multiple test days, including Palm Beach international Raceway's 2-mile Road Course and Homestead-Miami Speedway's 1.5-mile oval track and inclusive of Engineering, media training, public relations, promotional photo shoot, fitness "Pit Fit," and "The Facts of the Sport" from Ken Ungar.

An entry fee of $35,000 includes testing expenses, tires, fuel and seat fit Team PBIR will provide drivers two days of track time and orientation on Palm Beach international Raceway's Road Course. The first day includes a series of programs, then progresses to rides in a two-seater Radical Racecar with 2006 Indy Lights Champion Jay Howard then to test time in the Indy Lights car. Day Two completes the 150-miles of Road Course testing.

The next component of "Testing with a Difference" occurs at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Drivers learn the 1.5-mile oval by participating in an on-track familiarization session using a street vehicle, under the direction of an Indy 500 winner to get orientated with the track and then drivers complete 150-miles
of Indy Lights testing.

"Testing with a Difference" has one goal - - to build a total package driver which encompasses driving ability, team communication, public relations, professional presentation and physical fitness.  For more information on "Testing with a Difference" contact Kane Williams at (561) 797-3999 or (561) 622-1400 via e-mail at kanew@racepbir.com
