Lucas Oil Slick Mist named title sponsor of Phoenix event Lucas Oil Slick Mist, a polymer paint gloss intensifier used on glass, chrome and vinyl surfaces that is marketed and distributed by Lucas Oil Products, has been named the title sponsor of the upcoming NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series event at Firebird International Raceway near Phoenix.
The Lucas Oil Slick Mist NHRA Nationals will be contested Feb. 20-22 at the popular dragstrip in Chandler, Ariz. The race will be televised by ESPN2 and ESPN2HD.
“Lucas Oil continues to be a valuable partner in NHRA Drag Racing and we appreciate their tremendous support of NHRA, our events, the teams and our fans,” said Gary Darcy, senior vice president of sales and marketing, NHRA.
The commitment increases Lucas Oil’s involvement in NHRA Championship Drag Racing. The company also sponsors the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series for NHRA’s large sportsman racing community. It also is the sponsor of the popular Lucas Oil NHRA Nationals in Brainerd, Minn. In addition, Lucas Oil provides several sponsorships for race teams, including the Top Fuel dragsters driven by Morgan Lucas, Shawn Langdon and European champion Andy Carter. The company also sponsors many race teams in the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series, including multi-time Top Alcohol Funny Car world champ Frank Manzo.
