DEI announces two appointments Teresa Earnhardt, President and CEO of Dale Earnhardt, Inc. today announced the appointments of two executive leaders.
Jeff Steiner was named Executive Vice President and General Manager responsible for the oversight and management of Dale Earnhardt, Inc., the Dale Earnhardt Foundation, and special initiatives relating to Earnhardt properties. Steiner began his role at Dale Earnhardt, Inc. on April 1, 2009.
Chad Warpula was appointed to the position of Executive Vice President and General Counsel for Dale Earnhardt, Inc. Warpula will oversee the newly formed Earnhardt Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates joint venture and handle all legal matters for Dale Earnhardt, Inc., Earnhardt Ganassi Racing, and Earnhardt-Childress Racing. Both executives will report to Earnhardt.
The leadership team will continue to strengthen Dale Earnhardt, Inc. through three key efforts:
Building world-class racing teams and high-performance engines through the company's two joint-venture operations -- Earnhardt-Childress Racing for engine development and leasing, and Earnhardt Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates for NASCAR Sprint Cup racing operations, sponsorship and team management;
Continuing the legacy of Dale Earnhardt through marquee events, new expansions, and signature-series products on a national and international level; and,
Giving back to our communities and the environment through the good works of The Dale Earnhardt Foundation.

Steiner (44) comes to Dale Earnhardt, Inc. as a global operating and business executive with more than 23 years of senior management experience, having served in leadership positions at Johnson Controls Automotive Systems Group as Vice President and General Manager, and at American Specialty Cars (ASC) as Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer. Steiner has extensive experience in public and privately held organizations, working to position and align them for growth and long-term sustainability. He holds a bachelor's degree in marketing and an MBA from Michigan State University. Steiner, his wife Chris, and their three children will reside in Mooresville, North Carolina.
Warpula (35) is a seasoned legal and operations professional who has worked with Dale Earnhardt, Inc. since 1999, serving as the company's legal advisor while employed as a partner at the national law firm of Alston & Bird, LLP. Warpula joined Dale Earnhardt, Inc. as its General Counsel in 2006 and assumed the role of Vice President in 2008. He earned his J.D., cum laude, from Wake Forest University School of Law, and holds a B.S., cum laude, in Public Administration and Psychology from Harding University. Warpula, his wife Kim, and their three children reside in Charlotte, North Carolina.
