Mark Martin Quickest at MIS Happy Hour
Mark Martin was quickest during Happy Hour in preparation for Sunday's CARFAX 400 at Michigan International Speedway. Pole sitter Brian Vickers was second fastest and David Ragan was third.
Other notables include Dale Earnhardt Jr who was 8th fastest in Happy Hour. Earnhardt Jr has not won a race since last year at Michigan, a 43 race winless streak. Prior to that victory Earnhardt Jr was sporting a 70 race winless streak.
Bill Elliot was 7th quickest and will start 9th for Sunday's race. Elliot has seven career victories at MIS and has led an incredible 1009 laps and completed more than 10,000 laps with 29 top 10's.
How much will that success help on Sunday“That doesn’t mean a thing. It’s all about 400 miles tomorrow” stated Elliot.
This week Elliot teams with America’s fastest growing auto service brand at this weekend’s NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Michigan International Speedway.
