Fisi tempts Ferrari with Spa pole (GMM) With a shock pole position in his pocket at Spa-Francorchamps, Giancarlo Fisichella again spelled out his "dream" to move immediately into a Ferrari cockpit.
Luca Badoer was slowest in qualifying and also crashed, heating up speculation the Italian team will turn to a surer bet for pace for the remaining races in 2009.
"Considering the result of today, I need to think about that and if they are going to call me," Italian Fisichella said after qualifying on Saturday.
The 36-year-old clarified that Ferrari has not yet been in talks with his management, but admitted that his luck might have begun to turn on Saturday morning, when he struck a rabbit during the final practice session.
"My engineers told me that in England when you do something with a rabbit it brings you luck," he said. "That was true. So next time I will go around the circuit to find some more rabbits."
