N. Technology and the FIA The FIA selection process of the new 2010 teams is set to return to the spotlight with a further report that N. Technology is to take legal action against the sport’s governing body.
N. Technology withdrew its application in June and then threatened to take the FIA to court citing “irregularities” in the selection process.
Notably, parent company MSC organization felt that their application was ultimately compromised as the proposed new team had not opted to use Cosworth engines. Campos, Lotus, Manor and USF1 will all use the British-built V8 next year.
One disgruntled unsuccessful 2010 applicant alleged the new teams were "hand-picked for political, rather than sport criteria."
La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that a hearing is now scheduled to take place in Paris on November 10.
