Renault's Robert Kubica completed this morning's fastest lap in free practice. The Polish driver set this weekend's best time so far with a 1m14.806. Ferrari driver Fernando Alonso lost his car going into Casino. His mechanics will have to work hard to get his car ready for qualifying.
The Monaco Grand Prix weekend continued on Saturday morning for the 24 Formula 1 drivers. After Alonso ended on top of the timesheets in both free practice sessions on Thursday the F1 fans in Monaco saw Robert Kubica end the one-hour practice session on top this morning while the Ferrari driver lost his car and crashed into the barriers going into Casino.
Fernando Alonso missed a total of 40 minutes of free practice due to his crash and his mechanics at Ferrari will have to work hard to get his car ready ahead of Saturday afternoon's qualifying session. The former F1 world champion looked strong in the streets of Monaco but this might just ruin his weekend.
There were numerous small errors from various drivers this morning. Adrian Sutil, Kamui Kobayashi, Vitaly Petrov and Michael Schumacher all had their moments but were able to continue. Timo Glock's session ended in what was only his third lap out on track. A technical problem ended the German's session.
