Geico sponsorship moves over to Moraes car
KV Racing Technology announced today the No. 32 KV Racing Technology Honda/Dallara/Firestone entry driven by Mario Moraes in Sunday’s Indianapolis 500 Race Mile will be sponsored by GEICO Insurance.

The car also will carry Curb Records as an associate sponsor.  The official entry for the No. 32 machine is now the GEICO – Curb Records – KV Racing Technology Honda/Dallara/Firestone.

Moraes, the 21-year-old Brazilian star, will start 13th in the 94th running of Indianapolis 500 set to start 1 p.m. EDT.  Moraes’ four-lap average speed was 224.888 miles per hour.

Paul Tracy attempted to qualify last weekend for KV Racing Technology in the No. 15 GEICO – KV Racing Technology Honda/Dallara/Firestone car but fell short of making the 33-driver lineup.  Tracy is a six-time Indy 500 starter.

The GEICO sponsorship was transferred to Moraes’ No. 32 KVRT entry this week, and Curb Records was an additional sponsorship.

Moraes, in his third Indy 500, will be joined in the KVRT Indy 500 lineup by E.J. Viso in the No. 8 PDVSA – KVRT Honda/Dallara/Firestone car (starting 19th) and rookie Takuma Sato in the No. 5 Lotus – KVRT Honda/Dallara/Firestone machine (starting 31st).
