The largest grid for an American Le Mans Series presented by Tequila Patr¢n race at Lime Rock Park will take to the track later this month for the American Le Mans Northeast Grand Prix. Thirty-three entries made up of the world's premier drivers, teams and manufacturers will take to the 1.51-mile, 10-turn circuit on Saturday, July 24.
Ten auto and chassis manufacturers along with four tire manufacturers dot the entry for the Series’ seventh consecutive trip to Lime Rock, nestled in northwestern Connecticut. Among the entries include local teams Dyson Racing (last year’s LMP2 winner) from Poughkeepsie, NY; and Patr¢n Highcroft Racing (2008 overall winner) from nearby Danbury. Flying Lizard Motorsports also has two entries in GT, the team having won in class every year since 2007. Lizard pilot Jörg Bergmeister hasn’t lost a race at Lime Rock since 2005.
This year’s race also will mark the first for the new LMP Challenge class at the circuit. New for 2010, it features ORECA’s FLM09 prototype.
The American Le Mans Northeast Grand Prix is scheduled to start at 2:05 p.m. ET with SPEED televising the race live.
Prior to heading to Lime Rock Park, the American Le Mans Series presented by Tequila Patr¢n will kick off the summer stint with the Larry H. Miller Dealerships Utah Grand Prix at Miller Motorsports Park. The two-hour, 45-minute race will begin at 2:35 p.m. MT on Sunday, July 11, with coverage beginning on SPEED at 4:30 p.m. ET. Live radio coverage will be available on American Le Mans Radio presented by Porsche – a production of Radio Show Limited – as well as Sirius Channel 127 and XM Channel 242.
