Sutil tops wet opening practice in Germany Force India's Adrian Sutil turned the fastest lap Friday morning in a wet opening practice for Sunday's German Grand Prix in Hockenheim. After a very wet start the track dried steadily and by the end of the session a complete dry line developed. Sutil eventually worked down to a best of 1m25.701s at the very end.
There were numerous spins, the most notable being Lewis Hamilton who wadded up his McLaren in Turn 3, damaging 3 of the 4 corners and his new blown diffuser.
Felipe Massa won the overall prize as he spun 5 times, but still ended up 2nd quick.
