Schumacher eager for Abu Dhabi debut The final race of the 2010 Formula One World Championship takes place at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi this coming weekend, Formula One's only twilight race with the floodlights allowing the race to start at 5 pm local time.
This may be the second running of this event, but for seven time world champion it will be a new challenge and the perfect way to finish off his return season to the pinnacle of Motorsports with the Mercedes Grand Prix team. Michael’s strong race at the Brazilian Grand Prix last weekend gives him added confidence ahead of this event and he is hoping that this impressive venue will see his best performance of the year.
"We had quite an encouraging weekend in Sao Paulo, even if it did not show too much to the outside, as our pace in qualifying and the race was satisfying. The final race weekend in Abu Dhabi will be exciting for me as I will be driving this impressive circuit for the first time,” he said.
“Obviously the main focus of the fans and the media will be on the championship fight so we will be able to work calmly and concentrate on our own weekend. I'm sure that everyone in the team is motivated to deliver a good last performance of the season."
