Ricciardo still on top in Abu DhabiUPDATE Daniel Ricciardo completed his domination of the Formula 1 rookie test in Abu Dhabi, by setting a time 1.3 seconds faster than world champion Sebastian Vettel pole position lap for last Sunday's grand prix. But don't let these times fool you. Teams will typically run the car light so the test driver looks brilliant and a potential sponsor then signs on the dotted line.

Daniel Ricciardo continued to dominate the timesheets on the second morning of Formula 1 rookie testing at Yas Marina in Abu Dhabi. And today he went even faster, posting a time just 0.154 seconds off Sebastian Vettel's pole position time for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix giving you some idea just how quickly even a rookie can adapt to an excellent car.
Ferrari test driver Jules Bianchi was able to show his speed for the first time after spending Tuesday concentrating on aerodynamic work. He set the second-fastest time, just over a second off Ricciardo.
