GP3 Series confirms 2011 calendar The GP3 series will feature eight races during its second year as a motorsport category, with the season beginning at Istanbul Park as a part of Formula 1's visit the venue in 2011.
The upcoming campaign will begin in Turkey between May 7-8, with the series enjoying its final round at the historic Monza circuit as part of the F1 weekend in September. Monaco is was left-out of the calendar, with no confirmation of an event on the streets of Monte-Carlo this year.
A total of eight pre-season tests will be held, first at Paul Ricard on 3-4 March, followed by Silverstone on 29-30-31 and finally Barcelona on 12-13-14 April.
