INDYCAR receives gold ADDY Award The 2010 IZOD IndyCar Series "Leave Your Mark" multimedia consumer campaign received the gold ADDY Award - the highest national honor -- from the American Advertising Federation.
The campaign communicated the speed, innovation and excitement of the IZOD IndyCar Series on a national level and in race markets. It was an invitation for fans to leave their mark on the sport as it leaves its mark on them. The aggressive angle of the cars along with the paint-peel effect and burnout tracks gives the notion of the car moving so quickly its own paint scheme can't keep up.
The annual ADDY Awards is the advertising industry's largest and most representative competition, attracting more than 50,000 entries each year. The local ADDY Awards is the first of a three-tier, national competition. Concurrently, across the country, local entrants vie for recognition as the best in their markets. At the second tier, local winners are pooled in one of 14 district competitions. District winners are then forwarded to the national ADDY Awards competition.
It's the third consecutive year that INDYCAR has received an ADDY Award.
