Reader wants to see IndyCar's big teams defeated I have been a subscriber to AR1 for years now and love the articles. I have been a CART fan for 20+ years and once Tony George split the series, I went straight to Champ Car.
Paul Tracy stuck by Champ Car and believed what Kevin [Kalkhoven], Gerald [Forsythe] and Paul [Gentilozzi] were doing to keep the series going and hopefully drive a nail in Tony's coffin. That didn't happen and now Paul, one of the best drivers and most exciting to watch in the sport, is on the outside looking in.
I feel the sport with drivers like Sebastian, Oriol, Tags, Tony, and Ryan needs a Paul Tracy. It's great for the fans, brings excitement to TV, and would bring nothing but press to the series.
The people that don't want Paul in there are the people that jumped ship to the "All American All Oval" series, Penske, Ganassi, Andretti, and Foyt. I cheer against them weekly because they helped kill the best racing series in the US and I'm sure they know it.
I like what I see from Randy Bernard and hope Dale Coyne and KV racing can compete with the traders. Jack Torkkola, Mesa AZ.
