Australia GP: Vettel tops practice 3 Red Bull gave its rivals a taste of things to come this year at the hands of Adrian Newey's latest creation after dominating the third free practice session for the Australian Grand Prix - with world champion Sebastian Vettel heading teammate Mark Webber.
Vettel set a 1m24.507s lap in the final minutes of the session on the soft Pirellis. But to underscore his dominance, the German's fastest time on the harder prime tire - set 15 minutes earlier - was also quicker than anyone else could manage all session long.
HRT remained the laughing stock of the paddock, They finally managed to get Narain Karthikeyan on track, but he completed five laps, 17s off the pace. His teammate did not fare much better. Vitantonio Liuzzi was forced to stop his car on the out-lap.
