Samsung Mobile, which has served as the title sponsor of April’s Samsung Mobile 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Texas Motor Speedway for 10 years, will expand its sponsorship portfolio at the venue by serving as the title sponsor for qualifying during the June 9-11 Firestone Twin 275s IZOD IndyCar Series/NASCAR Camping World Truck Series doubleheader weekend.
To celebrate the launch of its new Galaxy Tab 10.1, Texas Motor Speedway’s longest-running title sponsor will serve as the sponsor of “Samsung Galaxy Tab Qualifying Days” for both the Camping World Truck Series on Thursday, June 9, and IndyCar Series on Friday, June 10. “Samsung Galaxy Tab Qualifying Days” kick off an exciting weekend of racing that culminates Saturday, June 11, with the Firestone Twin 275s, the first twin races in the history of the IndyCar Series.
“Samsung Mobile jumped at the chance to build upon our strong relationship with Texas Motor Speedway with the addition of the ‘Samsung Galaxy Tab Qualifying Days’ sponsorship,” said Paul Golden, chief marketing officer for Samsung Mobile. “We’re excited about the upcoming launch of the Galaxy Tab 10.1 in the U.S. and now is the perfect time to share the world’s thinnest mobile tablet and the Samsung Galaxy brand with hundreds of thousands of race fans at TMS.”
“Samsung Galaxy Tab Qualifying Days” open June 9 with NASCAR Camping World Truck Series practice from 11 a.m.-12:15 p.m. CT followed by Camping World Truck Series final practice from 12:45-2 p.m. and concludes with truck series qualifying at 6 p.m. Tickets are $10 for the day.
“Samsung Galaxy Tab Qualifying Days” continue June 10 with IZOD IndyCar Series practice from 12:30-1:45 p.m. followed by qualifying beginning at 3:45 p.m. The evening continues with the IndyCar Series’ final practice from 6:45-7:15 p.m. and concludes with the WinStar World Casino 400k Camping World Truck Series race at 8 p.m. Tickets, which include the truck race, range from $19 to $60.
