Conquest announces Indy sponsors Conquest Racing is pleased to announce the addition of several affiliate sponsors to its cars for the 2011 Indianapolis 500. Nov.us, Smart File, Sign Craft, Fineline Furniture, and Conrad Hotel Indianapolis have all signed on with the team for the historic race to be run Sunday, May 29 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.“We are honored to have these fine companies on board with Conquest Racing for the 100th Anniversary of the Indy 500,” said Conquest Racing team owner Eric Bachelart. “Some of them have been loyal to the team for a number of years, so it feels good to have them with us. They are joining full-time partners such Zentality, Delp, and Pulp & Fiber.”
Conquest drivers Sebastian Saavedra in the No. 34 and Pippa Mann in the No. 36 are vying for spots in the 33-car field. Saavedra, who at age 20 is the youngest entrant in this year’s race, made his Indianapolis 500 debut last year. Mann is making her IZOD IndyCar Series debut. She was last year’s Freedom 100 polesitter and is the first and only female to win a pole at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Conrad Indianapolis general manager Greg Tinsley said, "With this being the 100th anniversary of the Indy 500, we are thrilled to have a presence on the famed oval. We could not ask for a better team to represent the Conrad than Sebastian Saavedra, Pippa Mann and the entire Conquest Racing team.”
This is not the first time Conrad Hotels has partnered with the Indianapolis-based team. Conrad sponsored Conquest’s 2009 and 2010 Indy 500 entries, and was on board for Saavedra’s debut with the team at the 2010 season finale at Miami.
"I am so honored to continue a partnership for the third consecutive year with such a talented team as Conquest,” Tinsley said. “We are proud to wish both Sebastian and Pippa the best of luck on the track.
