 Toronto: Franchitti pips Castroneves in opening practice  Target Chip Ganassi ace Dario Franchitti knocked Helio Castroneves from the top of the timesheets on the last lap of the opening practice for the Toronto Honda IndyCar race on the streets around Exhibition Place. 

In a relatively incident free session, Franchitti's lap of 1m1.568s was just enough to beat the Penske driver who recorded a best lap of 1m1.632s.

Ryan Hunter-Reay, Justin Wilson and Will Power rounded out the top-5.
