Tickets on sale for IndyCar finals It's exciting family fun and guaranteed to rev up Las Vegas economy: tickets are now on sale for the IZOD IndyCar World Championships at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on October 16.
The Las Vegas final will crown the 2011 champion and this year brings something new: $5 million dollars for any driver from another series who can win the final.
The finals will feature the fastest cars on oval track, with drivers reaching speeds in excess of 200 miles per hour.
The event is big business for Las Vegas. According to the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, IndyCar events in the past have brought 70,000 people to town who spent more than $75 million in non-gaming revenue alone.
The finals will feature the currently top-ranked Dario Franchitti as well as Helio Castroneves, Tony Kanaan and Danica Patrick.
Tickets can be purchased from Ticketmaster or at the Las Vegas Speedway.
