 Hinchcliffe leads opening IndyCar practice  Canadian James Hinchcliffe gave the locals and sponsor Sprott something to cheer about Saturday morning in Edmonton by turning the fastest lap in practice 1 for the IndyCars on the revamped Edmonton airport circuit.

The track was a bit damp to start but quickly dried out.  One thing that is clear is that the new layout is significantly slower than the old layout.
