20 finalists announced for HOF Class of 2012 The field has been narrowed and only 20 finalists remain for induction into the Class of 2012 International Motorsports Hall of Fame, IMHOF officials announced today. The final inductees will be elected when the last round of voting begins in August.
“Practically every form of racing, from stock cars to open wheel to motorcycles to airplanes are represented. They are drivers, car builders, engine builders, owners, pilots, daredevils, pioneers and innovators,” states Executive Director, Grant Lynch.

The Class of 2012 will be announced in late fall of this year, with the induction ceremony tentatively set for Thursday, May 3, 2012.
