Dixon leads Ganassi 1-2 in 2nd Motegi practice On another warm and rather humid day, Target Chip Ganassi Racing drivers Scott Dixon and Dario Franchitti beat their rivals at Team Penske in practice session 2 on the 2.9-mile road course.
Franchitti led for almost the entire session, but a hot lap by Dixon--just as the checkered flag waved--put the Kiwi on top of the charts with a 1:38.771, much faster than the 1:39.4745 set by Will Power to top Friday's running.
Setting his best lap on Lap 3, Franchitti ended the session with a quick time of 1:39.168, with Team Penske's Will Power close behind in third with a lap of 1:39.309. However, no one is showing their full hand yet. There's more to come.
