Hinchcliffe and Servia 1-2 in final Motegi practice Newman/Haas Racing drivers James Hinchcliffe and Oriol Servia checked in first and second in the 60-minute practice session prior to the three rounds of PEAK Performance Pole qualifying at Twin Ring Motegi.
Hinchcliffe, a rookie driving the No. 06 Sprott entry, had a best lap of 1 minute, 39.1074 seconds on the 2.983-mile, 14-turn course. Servia, in the No. 2 Telemundo car, had a best lap of 1:39.1413.
Qualifications for the Indy Japan are scheduled for 2 a.m. (ET).
