Fans use nascar.com from work for rain delayed Chicagoland race NASCAR.COM delivered strong traffic for the debut of the 2011 Chase for NASCAR Sprint Cup Championship with an 88% increase in page views and a 75% increase in unique users for the Geico 400 at Chicagoland Speedway, on Monday, Sept. 19. Well of course they did, everyone was at work on Monday and they wanted to keep tabs on the race.
As a result of the third rainout of the season on Sun. Sept.18, the official online destination of NASCAR recorded 8.1 million page views and 1.3 million unique users on Mon. Sept. 19. The increase in unique users makes it the second best day of the 2011 season. Daytona 500 at the Daytona International Speedway ranks first this season as the highest-recorded day in unique users.
